Welcome & Introduction
Happy Morning to All. Esteemed Guests, Respected Management Members, Faculty, and Students, I am much honored to present the 20th Annual Day Report of Vidhya Sagar Women’s College.
Before I begin, I take great pride in welcoming our Eminent Guest Smt. Prasanna Vasanadu, Founder & CEO, Tikitoro as well as our Esteemed Management Members, Managing Trustee & Correspondent Shri. Vikas Surana and Vice Chairman & Treasurer Shri. Suresh Kankariya.
About Vidhya Sagar Women’s College
Vidhya Sagar Women’s College was started in the year 2005 to educate women students and empower them wholesome development.

Academic Excellence
The year brought strong academic outcomes and notable faculty achievement.
Graduated Students
Around 600 students graduated in the academic year 2023–2024.
High Academic Results
More than 30 students secured centum and achieved 90% percent results in various subjects in the university exams.
Faculty Qualification
Mrs. T. Vijayalakshmi from the Department of Computer Science successfully qualified the UGC NET Exam conducted by NTA.
Supporting Women in Higher Education
Management Scholarships
To encourage and support women in pursuing higher education, our management offers scholarships every year to students who excel in academics and sports. This year, around 250 students have benefited from these scholarships.
Government Scholarships
Our college also takes the initiative to facilitate government scholarships, including those for SC/ST, Free Education schemes, Post-Matric scholarships, and Pudhumai Pen scheme etc.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Through various clubs like NSS, YRC, CCC, Rotaract, Karuna & Enviro, Organic Farming, ED Cell, RYA with STU, the college fosters the habit of social service and environmental responsibility.
STU
STU, our elected student body, conducted 25+ programs this year, including Fresher’s welcoming day, Students’ council Investiture, International Yoga Day, Free Health Camp & celebrates festivals like Onam, Christmas, Krishna Jayanthi, and Diwali etc.
Library & RYA
To inculcate the reading habit of students various competitions were organized in Library Club. Rajasthan Youth Association provides books and educational resource to support the students. Every year over 1000 students are receiving books from RYA.
NSS
With three active units, NSS conducted 30+ programs this year.

- International Human Rights Day & Blood Donation Camp
ED Cell
Organizes Manthan Bazaar as a platform for students to showcase entrepreneurial skills. Every Wednesday, students set up “next gen entrepreneur stalls”.
Skill based courses included bakery, Beautician, Aari work & Chocolate making.
Karuna, Enviro & Organic Farming
Conducted awareness programs to educate the young generation in compassion, values, kindness and nature. This year alone 10+ awareness programs were conducted, including Grow with Nature, Love to Humanity and Compassion, Plastic Bag-Free Day, and World Tribal Day.
CCC, Rotaract & YRC
CCC organized 7+ programs such as Consumer Protection Rights Awareness Programs and Consumer Rights Rally. Rotaract organized a Free Dental Screening Camp in collaboration with Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Sciences, with 600+ students benefitted. YRC organized Breast Cancer Awareness and Blood Donation camps.
Kanithamizh Peravai
Conducted workshop for students to develop Tamil e-content.
Cultural
Organized Milan Sagar Vibezon 2K24 to showcase the students talents through various events.
Alumni, Counselling, IQAC & Mentoring
Alumni Meet
The Alumni Meet, held on February 9, 2025, was a grand event, with around 900 Alumni participation. This year, our management took a remarkable initiative by introducing the Univariety Platform, enabling alumni to reconnect again.
Counselling Cell
Has organized a motivational session on 22nd August 2024 to enable students to overcome their personal and academic setbacks. Additionally, one-on-one counselling sessions are conducted weekly for the students in need of support.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
The IQAC organized a workshop on Financial Wellness, IPR and a various Faculty Development Programmes.
Mentor-Mentee
To provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback, a Mentor-Mentee Meeting is conducted every three months to ensure continuous academic and personal growth.
27+ Academic Engagement Programmes
Various departments organized seminars, workshops, conferences and competitions to enhance academic engagement. Students are motivated and very much involved to participate in all departmental activities. Around 27+ programs are conducted overall.
Value-Added & Certificate Courses
The Vidhya Sagar Empowerment Centre enhances students' skills through various certificate courses. Around 90% of the students have benefitted from these courses.
Placement, Industrial Visit & Special Highlights
Placement Training Modules
The Placement Training Cell, PRAYAS has conducted 12 specialized training modules to equip students for a seamless transition into the corporate world.
Students with Industrial Exposure
More than 350+ students from diverse departmental backgrounds have gained industrial exposure through industrial visits.
Competitive Exam Awareness
A Competitive Exam Awareness Program by EVA STALIN IAS ACADEMY was organized. A Competitive Exam Preparation Club has also been established to support students preparing for TNPSC and banking exams.

Suganya (I B.Sc CS)
4th Prize in Handwriting Competition, received cash prize of ₹500 from Ulga Tamil Kavignar Sangam.
J. Mahalakshmi (III B.Sc Maths)
3rd Prize in District-level Kavithai Competition organized by Tamil Development Department.
Deepika S (I B.Com A)
1st Prize in District-level Drawing Competition, received cash prize of ₹1,000.
Subathra V (III BBM)
1st Prize in Clown Act, 2nd Prize in Sell Well, 3rd Prize in Creelz at SDNB Vaishnav College; 3rd Prize in Best Manager at Sri Sankara Arts & Science College; 2nd Prize in Banking Quiz at Quaid Milleth College for Men.

Received Cash Prize for securing second place in Tamil Speech competition.

Sports, Karate & Yoga Achievements
The 20th Annual Sports Day was held on November 23, 2024, with enthusiastic participation. Students won and participated at various state and national levels.
Floor Ball Championships
2nd Position at State-level and National-level held in Kanyakumari and Haryana.
Athletic Meet 2024
Secured 1st, 2nd, & 3rd positions at SDAT Nehru Park.
CM Trophy 2024
3rd Place in Badminton & Carrom.
Basketball
D. Keerthana (III B.Com Gen), A. Pavithra, T. Devikala (III BCA), M. Kaviyadharshini (I B.Com Gen), V. Nithya (II B.Com CA) selected for University “A” Zone & “B” Zone Basketball Tournament.
Karate
Our Students have participated in the National-level Open Karate Championship and secured 1st and 2nd prizes in Kata & Kumite.
Yoga – World Record
Our College Students set a noble world record in Yogasana, organized by the Indian Yogasana Sports Federation.
