VidhyaSagar Women’s College celebrated MuthamizhVizha&Pongal Celebration on 11th Jan 2019. The Chief Guest was KalaimamaniErvadi S. Radhakrishnan (writer). He addressed the gathering through his innovative speech and he pointed out that the students should think in different ways;
The Resource Person Mrs. Bhavani, from University of Jyväskylä, Finland explored the theme collaboration from the dimensions of what collaboration means to the student teachers, how to define its meaning further by what they want to achieve as a team collectively.Moving on, she made them explore collaborative classrooms, the features and building lesson plan ideas that allow for collaborative learning.
Our students undertook teaching practice and our staff had school visits to observe and monitor the student teachers
TNTEU conducted A national Seminar on Skill Development and Goal setting strategies for Urban and Rural students on 6th and 7th December, 2018. 7 of our faculty members participated and presented their papers in the conference.
On behalf of NSS, RRC, YRC units & the students of VidhyaSagar Women’s College, Gaja Cyclone Relief Materials (Clothes, Diapers, Matchbox, Water Bottles, Biscuit Pockets, Sanitary Napkins, Rice Pockets, Coconut Oil etc.,) were Contributed and handed over the same to the NSS Cell University of Madras on 30.11.2018.
Humour is the most effective and important ingredient to spice up the dish of life. Humor is the one thing which is enjoyed by all. . Humor Club was inaugurated on 23.10.2018.
The third Proficiency Development Programme was conducted on 13.10.2018 in our VidhyaSagar Women’s College of Education. Mrs. M. Saraswathy, Assistant Professor of Biological Science was the key note speaker and spoke on “Moral Values & Character Building”.
TLM Workshop was conducted in our College for our B.Ed Students on 03.09.2018. In this workshop the student teachers were taught about the following TLM and they prepared the various TLM Materials as follows :

8) Models – Working & non-Working
Giving others always brings a joy. So to help the affected people in Kerala due to Flood, Our B.Ed students donated on 22.08.2018 ,Bed Sheets, Sanitary Napkins, Biscuits, Bread, Towels, Dresses and things needed for small babies.
Apart from this everyday requirement for mentally challenged childrenat Good Trust societywere donated by our student- teachers .
Karuna Club Inauguration Programme was conducted in our VidhyaSagar Women’s College of Education on 16.08.2018. Smt. AbhiShankari was the Chief Guest of the day. Competitions were conducted for students based on values insisted by Karuna International
