National Cadet Corps
2014-2015
- NCC Cadets helped in the Blood donation Camp organized by ESSAR Blood bank at college.
- NCC Cadet Ms. E. Manju was selected for TSC Camp conducted in New Delhi.
- 10 cadets attended RDC selection Camp-1 and 5 of them got selected at Trichy.
- In TSC, 2 cadets won 1 SILVER MEDAL and 1 BRONZE MEDAL.
- In RDC, 3 cadets won 4 GOLD and 2 SILVER MEDALS.
2013-2014
- 5 Cadets attended CATC CUM TSC CAMP-1 at Kanchipuram and 3 got selected to TSC TRG-III.
- 2 Cadets had attended TSC-IGC CAMP and selected for TSC LAUNCH-1 Camp.
- 1 Cadet got selected for the TSC LAUNCH-11 CAMP and got the chance to attend the Delhi Camp TSC.
- 1 cadet placed a GOLD MEDAL as THE BEST FIRER.
- 10 Cadets attended CATC-CUM RDC SELECTION CAMP -1 and 7 got selected for next Camp and finally 4 had gone to IGC-RDC CAMP at Tirunelveli.
2012-2013
- 15 Cadets attended CATC CUM RDC CAMP-1 at Kanchipuram and 11 got selected to next level RDC TRG-11 CAMP.
- 7 Cadets had gone to IGC-RDC Camp at Trichy.
- 2 NCC Cadets were awarded as the Best Cadet of the year 2013.

This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need of selfless service and appreciation of the other man’s point of view and also consideration for fellow human beings.

The 16th Annual Sports Day of Vidhya Sagar Women’s College was celebrated on 3rd February 2023. Correspondent Shri Vikas Surana, Treasurer Shri. Suresh Kankaria, Empowerment Principal Dr. Marisamy, Dr. R. Arunadevi, Principal (i/c) were present . The Chief Guest was Mr. A. Bharath I.P.S.Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chengalpattu. They entailed by the unfurling of the sports flag. A spectacular impressive and a well synchronized March Past was performed by the respective Department contingents. Treasurer Shri.Suresh Kankaria welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. Correspondent and Principal Madam honored the Chief Guest. Olympic torch which ignite the passion of sporting spirit was lit. The Chief Guest addressed the students to practice well to get success, to maintain physical and mental fitness. The events for the day was 100mts, 200mts, 4x100mts relay. Yoga, Aerobics, Karate and Silambam were performed by the students with great stamina and vigor. All the winners received totally 266 prizes and certificates for various sports events. The Department of Commerce won the Overall Sports Trophy and the individual Championship was won by Ms .A. Pavitra, I BCA B and Ms. G. Saranya, III B.Com C delivered the vote of thanks. The program was over by the National Anthem

- Basket Ball, Athletics and Kho-Kho players had participated and won prizes in various tournaments such as YMCA Buck tournament, Kanchipuram District open tournament and Inter College Matches.
- Basketball player M. SANGEETHA, II B.Com (G) was selected for University Divisional.
2013-2014
- Students had participated and Won prizes in athletics, discuss throw and basket ball matches in Chemfest Match, University Match
- National level Senior Category Match – 7 held in Jammu & Kashmir,
- National level held in Maharastra& CM trophy.
- Basketball player M. SANGEETHA, II B.Com (G) won 3rd prize in discus throw.
- Fencing player G. VANITHA II B.Com (CS) got the Bronze Medal in All India University National level.
2014-2015
- Our students had participated and won prizes in basketball, tennis, athletics and Javelin throw in various levels such as CMC Medical College, YMCA Buck tournament, Inter-zone University Match,Athletic University Zone level.
- C. SARASWATHI of I B.Com (BM) won 3rd prize in Javelin throw.
- E. VANITHA of 1 B. Com (G) and M. VENNITA NANCY of I BBA were selected for University Divisional.
- G. VANITHA of II B. Com (CS) was selected in All India University National level.
Life Skills
- Capacity Building – Life Skills Programme Life Skills Programme is offered to all under graduate students to unlock and discover their true potential and make them successful in life.
- Objectives of the life skills course include:
- Equip students with social and inter personal skills that enable them to cope with the demands of professional and personal life.
- To develop interpersonal skills and adopt good leadership behaviour for empowerment of self and others
- To groom students into intectually right and socially responsible citizens.
