SaraswatiPooja was celebrated in Our College on 17.10.2018. To bring a holistic development among ourselves & among our surroundings performing Pooja is very important. So in this point of view Pooja Celebration was conducted in our College.Our Principal, Faculty Members & Student teachers participated in this celebration. Our students sang Devotional Songs. Sweets & Fruits along with puffed rice were distributed to everyone.
Our College student Counselling cell was inaugurated on 12-10-2018 at 1.45 pm by Dr. T. Siva Ilango, M.D. Psy, MRCPsych, CCT (Old Age), Associate Professor and Dr. Arumuganathan, M.D., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Psychiatry, KarpagaVinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre.
They gave a motivational speech on the topic “Essence of Counselling for Life” which sow the significance of Counselling and how it facilitates the students.
A demo lecture on ‘Role of Flowers in Interiors’ was organised by the Department of Home Science – IDD, 04th Oct 2018. The demo lecture was presented by MrVetri Ganesh, Entrepreneur, Florist from Everyday Flowers.
The presenter had explained the various types of flower arrangement and bouquet making. Also he explained in detail the various types of containers used in flower arrangements. There was a hands on session for students in making various flower arrangements.
Rotaract Club installation of office bearers for the academic year 2018-19 was held on 3rd October (Wednesday) 2018 in our college auditorium. PP Rtn. T. Thiyagarajan, Additional Director – Youth Service, RI District 3231 was the chief guest and IPDRR Rtr. PP S. Vijay Sundar, District Trainer – RI District 3231 was the guest of honour. Rtn N. Muralinathan President of Rotaract Club Chengalpattu also presided over the function.
IPDRR Rtr PP. S.VijaySundar addressed the students and expressed his views on function of Rotary club and congratulated the office bearers for assuming duty.
A seminar on ‘Architectural Drawing – An Insight’ was organised by the Department of Home Science – IDD, 03rd Oct 2018. The seminar was presented by MrsE.Elamathi, Assistant Professor in faculty of Civil Engineering and technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan college of Engineering & Technology.
The topics covered in seminar are: measure drawing, types of lines, scaling technique, one point and two point perspectives, plan section and elevation, various types of bonds, arches and wood joineries. The students were taught technically how to use various engineering tools as well. The students were involved in drawing one point, two point perspectives and isometric projections. The seminar was more interactive between the presenter and students.
